I agree with Himanshu that our classrooms are still too often organized for ‘teacher-fronted’ learning, but I also agree with Chloe that Smartboards can be used to create a focal point in the collaborative class. Socrative seems to give a lot of potential for classroom and learning management. I like the way Chloe is using Socrative to attend to her students as well as share feedback on the process with her learners in real time, adding a social dimension to an essential reading activity that can feel rather isolating to many learners. I was thinking Socrative might also be a way of collecting qualitative feedback from the learners on the readability and relevance of the text at the end of the activity.
